When I’ve done all I can do.

AUDIO MESSAGE —  All throughout the scripture there are references to the hand of the Lord as a symbol of God’s power coming upon us or meeting us in our need.  It is the hand of the Lord that creates and sustains life, pushes back the obstacles, makes a way for us where there is no way and provides protection, deliverance, healing, direction and blessing.

When we have done everything we know how to do in obedience and faithfulness to God we need His hand to come upon our situation and bring the supernatural power

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

God is calling us to stand our ground in faith, believing that even though we might not be able to see it or feel it, he is on the move.  He is calling us to be STRONG and IMMOVEABLE in our generation.  To have the kind of faith that digs in and holds on even when the situations around us are disheartening and disappointing.

Jesus is our ultimate example in all things.  In his life here on earth he was obedient and faithful to fulfill every part of the assignment God sent him to do.  He did everything he could do even to the point of death.

It was finished… the work Jesus came to accomplish was complete. He walked through every season and story with integrity and faithfulness right up to his victory on the cross.. But in that moment, it didn’t look like a victory…  It looked like a death.  For a few days it looked pretty hopeless and helpless.

But God said, now it’s my turn… The hand of the Lord reached into a cold dark grave and lifted Jesus out of death and filled him with resurrection life and sat him down at his right hand. It was a miraculous plan of salvation and redemption that no one saw coming.

Jesus didn’t raise himself from the dead.  He surrendered fully to the Father’s plan and let the Father deal with the outcome.

He was raised by the powerful and active hand of the Spirit of God… the same spirit that is alive and well and at work today in the hearts and lives of those who love him.  No matter how hopeless your situation may seem right now, if you hold on you will see the hand of the Lord come into your situation.

So what do you do when you’ve done all you can do in faithfulness and obedience to God, but you still feel stuck?

Pray. And keep praying until you begin to see the sign of God’s hand in your situation.  Ask God for his perspective and to see where he is at work making a way for you.  Ask him to reveal something for you to hold on to while you wait, even if it’s something small, hold on and continue to believe in faith that God is working on your behalf.
