A heart that is fixed on being faithful. In the book of Daniel, we meet three Hebrew boys named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These young men lived within a culture that didn’t serve God and was constantly trying to force them to conform to their worldly ways of living and worship of idols. But they choose to fix their hearts faithfully on God alone.
These boys had hearts that were fixed on being faithful to God. They were unshakeable and immoveable. The refused to be influenced by what was happening around them. They had made a decision to serve God and God alone and they would not budge. They were determined to live by their convictions.
The influence of modern culture, politics, and peer pressure are strong. We are constantly at war with the popular opinion that is opposed to a life of faith. We need to have a deep and intimate relationship with God where we know what we believe in so that we won’t be tempted to bow to other voices of influence. See the rest of this study here.
