Recognizing and releasing potential

As a leader my goal is always to be able to recognize and release what God is doing in someone else’s life. If I can tap into God’s activity and tune in to what he is doing in the present moment in someone’s life, then I can help them recognize and develop their own potential.

I honestly believe that if I can help people grow in this way personally and spiritually that I will inevitably get the best from them in their role. Growth keeps us alert and alive, it ignites our passion and gives us hope for the future. My job as a leader is to provide a healthy environment for others to grow and thrive in.

This kind of leadership is not transactional, it is highly relational and it does take time and effort to make it work. It can be really messy and sometimes even a bit awkward, but it’s necessary if we want to see people grow into their full calling and potential.
