Jesus came to seek out and save everything that was lost.
That includes you and me and our eternal salvation… but I believe that salvation is just the beginning. It also includes all the broken little pieces of our hearts that have been lost to sin and the effects of sin in our lives. One by one he seeks them out and brings them to the light so that he can reach in with his healing power and begin to redeem them for his glory.
Jesus is on the ultimate search and rescue mission to seek out and redeem every piece of our lives that have been lost.
My question for you today is, what part of your life is still lost?
What pieces of your heart have not yet been surrendered the power of Christ?
Sometimes we inadvertently hold things back. Things we think deep down Jesus doesn’t want to see or know about. Things that are dark and old and deeply hidden. Things we don’t want to deal with. But Jesus isn’t afraid of those deep dark corners of your heart and mind… he continues to seek and save.
There are things we lost in our childhood. Innocence we lost at the hands of those we trusted. Little pieces of our hearts that were lost to abandonment, betrayal or rejection. Pieces of our minds that have been lost to fear, anxiety and chaos. We put a smile on our face and continue on, but we know there are parts of us that are still lost.
I want to challenge you today to allow Jesus access to all the places in your heart where grief and loss have been hiding. The resurrection power of Christ is the power to breathe new life into things that have been dead, lost and long forgotten. Jesus wants to redeem and restore everything that was ever lost in your life if you just give him the chance to do it.
