More Than A Feeling

Healthy pathways to process overwhelming emotions.

Just like pain alerts us that there’s a deeper issue that needs attention in our physical body, our emotions can lead to revealing the places of our hearts that have been wounded and broken and need the healing touch of Jesus. We’ve taught ourselves to bottle and hide emotion rather than facing it head-on and listening to what it’s telling us about ourselves.

We are responsible for what happens in our own hearts. It’s only when we learn to express and release our emotions in a healthy way before the Lord that we can begin to address the issues that are driving the emotions and experience real freedom and healing.

This study includes 6 video teachings that target specific emotions and provide practical and biblical ways to process through them.

Processing Emotions

We all struggle with our emotions from time to time. It’s ok to feel things deeply, but we must learn practical and biblical ways to work through our difficult emotions if we are going to become all God has called us to be.

I Feel Sad

Overwhelming sadness can indicate the need to grieve some losses or disappointments we’ve encountered in life.  Jesus modeled a healthy way to process grief before the Father and walk in compassion with others.

I Feel Frustrated

We often feel angry or frustrated when we are faced with problems we can’t fix, control or change. It’s ok to be angry, but anger needs to be released in a healthy we so it doesn’t boil over and cause us to sin against others.

I Feel Tired

Not only did Jesus practice and model rest for us, he invites us into his rest. d. Jesus invites us to come and receive the strength we need from him to face the challenges and struggles of life.

I Feel Overwhelmed

When we have too much going on our thoughts can spiral out of control and leave us stuck in chaos. There are some important questions we need to ask ourselves to get unstuck and start moving in the right direction.

I Feel Lonely

You can be standing in a crowd surrounded by people and still feel rejected and completely alone. Learning to live in the reality of God’s love is the only sure way to kick the lonely feeling out once and for all.
